Update from Superintendent Matheney

Dear South Portland families and staff,

Iā€™m sharing the following reminders of upcoming events:

Elementary Boundaries and Configurations Review Process
We will be hosting a virtual community forum this evening, December 6, from 6:00-7:30pm (Zoom link here). This forum is open to any member of the South Portland community. During the forum, I will share data about our elementary schools and provide a status report about this process. We will provide time for questions and comments from the public. Please note that this session will be recorded, and the video will be posted on our website. In addition, this meeting will have a Zoom capacity of 300 participants.

You can locate a considerable amount of information about this process on the Boundaries and Configurations web page. This page includes meeting slides and videos of previous virtual community forums. This page is updated weekly.

Here are ways that community members can share their input on this topic:

  • Email bcsc@spsdme.org. All emails are shared with Steering committee members.

  • Submit your input through this form. All responses are shared with the Steering Committee.

  • Email Board Members. You can locate their contact information here.
