A lighthouse represents strength, safety, and hope
The lighthouse in our logo symbolizes the PTA standing strong from outside the school, supporting both staff and students. The attached building is Skillin Elementary and the birds are the Skillin Skyhawks soaring with the support of both the PTA and school.

The first place most Skillin families meet the PTA is at the lighthouse
During open houses we are at the lighthouse popping popcorn and drawing messages on the side walk to welcome students to school
At Kindergarten orientation we are at the lighthouse to meet new parents and students and ease nerves with special goodies
On the first day of Kindergarten we are at the lighthouse for our Tears & Cheers Breakfast for parents who have just dropped off there new student. We help families connect while they await the report from Principal Connolly that all Kindergarteners have settled into their classrooms
Families usually take photos of their kids on the first & last day of school in front of the lighthouse and track their child's growth year after year
