March PTA Meeting Highlights

We had a great meeting last Wednesday, thank you to all that attended! Here are some highlights of our discussion…

  • Tasha gave an update on performance of our most recent fundraisers:

    • The $3,000 raised from Raffle Calendars will fund a spring enrichment activity and field trips for each grade

    • The $200 profit from the Skillin Spirit Wear Shop went directly back to students as “Lucky Day” goodies passed out on Friday

  • Principal Connolly gave an update on the success of Math & Literacy night with over 200 students attending!

  • There are 2 new opportunities to engage with the PTA:

    1. Volunteers for the Fleet of Families are needed for smaller tasks and errands outside of the school, reach out to Melissa if you or your family would like to lend a hand

    2. The PTA Board in 2023 is expanding to include Co-President and Co-Vice President positions, reach out to Tasha if you’re interested

  • NWEA Testing is in May, support is needed in the form of motivational posters and goodies to keep students engaged during their 2 days of testing, more information to come shortly

  • A vote was held and approved spend on a Skillin Skyhawk mascot costume as a surprise and delight for our students
