Join us for a Spring Fling at Family Fun Night this Friday!
Come to the Skillin Gym this Friday, April 28, 6:00-7:30 PM and welcome spring with other Skillin families with a night of fun at school! Activities include a Bunny Hop cupcake walk, upcycled planting craft, bird kite making, outdoor games, and a book swap.
Note that this is not a drop off event, all children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian
We need volunteers to make Family Fun Night a success! Can you run a game or greet people as they arrive for 45 minutes? Can you help set up or clean up? No prior volunteer training is needed, the event leads will be there to guide you and answer any questions.
Monthly CLYNK Bag Pickup is Saturday
The Skillin School PTA is offering monthly CLYNK bag pickup, this month’s pickup is Saturday, April 29. To add your name and address to the pickup list, text Joe Beaulieu at (207) 619-1152.
Need pre-labeled CLYNK bags? E-mail us at skillinschoolpta@gmail.com, or direct message us on Facebook or Instagram and we will make sure they are sent home with your child.
Teacher Appreciation week is May 8-12
Teachers help our students BLOOM! Each day the week of May 8-12 will have a special event to celebrate our amazing teachers and show them appreciation for their hard work.
Monday - Brighten your teacher's day by wearing their favorite color to school or bringing in a picture you drew using their favorite color! Favorite colors will be sent home in your student's take home folder.
Tuesday - Let's fuel up our teachers, breakfast will be served!
Wednesday - On their door, teacher's will find a surprise! Notes written in SEL by students for their teacher will be displayed on classroom doors.
Thursday - Our garden is in full bloom because of our teachers! Staff will have a "growing gift" waiting for them in the teacher's lounge.
Friday - Mmm, mmm! Lunch will be provided for all staff.
We need your help to make Teacher Appreciation Week a success! We need donations of food and drinks for Tuesday’s breakfast and Friday’s lunch, and need a few volunteers to help decorate doors on Wednesday and set up lunch on Friday.
