Goodbye summer, hello school! We have some exciting things planned for this year that we can’t wait to share with you.
Don’t forget about the changes to the school day schedule
The Elementary school day is now 9:00-3:10, with students able to enter the building starting at 8:45.
Want to Volunteer in the School this Year?
Make sure you complete these three important steps:
ONE TIME: attend a SPSD Volunteer Training Session. SPSD will hold a 30 minute training session at Skillin before our next PTA meeting on Thursday, 9/28 at 5:30 in the Skillin Library.
Can’t make this training session? No problem! Sessions are held throughout the school year. Contact us or Bryna Latham at lathambr@spsdme.org for info on additional training sessions.
EVERY SCHOOL YEAR: fill out the South Portland School Department Volunteer Registration Form. This form authorizes the school to complete a criminal background check and once approved, adds you to the SPSD Volunteer Database.
EVERY SCHOOL YEAR: fill out the Skillin PTA Volunteer Form to let us know how you would like to help this year. We’ll be reaching out with opportunities.
