The Move-a-Thon is Friday, May 24!
The Move-a-Thon is a super fun student participation fundraiser where students run, walk, skip, and dance laps around the playground to raise money for the playground, recess equipment, and Learning Gardens.
If each student can raise $50, we’ll meet our fundraising goal!
How it Works:
Students collect pledges or donations starting May 5. Donors can pledge by flat donation or per lap around the playground completed (expect a student to complete 15 to 20 laps).
If pledging by flat donation - donations are collected online via GiveButter
If pledging by the lap - talk to your student, they will note and track your pledge via their paper pledge sheet and follow up after the event with the final total
We suggest a flat dollar amounts to eliminate the need for follow up
Friday, May 24th is the Move-a-Thon at school! Each grade has 15-20 minutes to make as many laps around the playground as they can. Volunteers will track of laps for each student and the total laps your student completed will go home that day. Be sure to check your student's backpack for their lap total.
Come by the Skillin Playground to cheer on the students!
12:50 - Kindergarten
1:10 - 1st Grade
1:30 - 2nd Grade
1:50 - 3rd Grade
2:10 - 4th Grade
All donations are due by Friday, May 31. Immediately after the Move-a-thon students will get their final lap totals and can notify per lap donors of their final donation amounts which can be submitted 3 ways:
Online through GiveButter
Online to @skillinschoolpta on Venmo
By check made out to Skillin School PTA and sent to school with your student or by mailing to Skillin School PTA at 180 Wescott Rd, South Portland, Maine, 04106
