The Playground Meetup is Today!
It’s (finally) the first Playground Meetup of Spring! Join us on the Skillin playground today from 1:00-3:00 for an afternoon of music, snacks, and lots of fun.

We need volunteers and donations for Teacher’s Appreciation Week
This week, May 6-10 is Teacher Appreciation Week and our teachers and staff are a homerun! We have events planned all week to celebrate our all star teachers and staff.
We need a little help making it a hit
Volunteers:
Sunday - Come to the playground meetup and “chalk the walk” as a surprise for teachers and staff as they come to work on Monday
Monday - Help set up or clean up the “Concession Stand Lunch”
Wednesday - Help set up or clean up the “Grand Slam Breakfast”
Food & Drink Donations:
Monday - We need beverages for the “Concession Stand Lunch” (seltzer, diet coke, lemonade) dropped off on Monday morning
Thursday - We need breakfast foods (muffins, bagels, donuts, granola bars, pastries) and beverages (juice, iced coffee) dropped off on Thursday for the “Grand Slam Breakfast” on Friday morning
Don't have time to shop or cook? Send a donation via venmo to @skillinschoolpta, subject: Teacher Appreciation week and we’ll do the shopping for you!
Panera Restaurant Night is May 12
Treat Mom and support the PTA! Eat at Panera on Gorham Road next Sunday, May 12 from 4-8pm and 20% of sales will go to the Skillin PTA!
Mention the Skillin PTA when ordering at the cafe or use code FUND4U when ordering online, in the Panera App, or at the kiosk in the cafe.
It’s Move-a-Thon Time!
The Move-a-Thon is a super fun student participation fundraiser where students run, walk, skip, and dance laps around the playground to raise money for our playground project, Learning Gardens, and playground equipment.
If each student can raise $50, we will meet our fundraising goal!
Students collect pledges or donations starting TODAY! Donors can pledge by flat donation or per lap around the playground completed (expect a student to complete 15 to 20 laps).
To give a flat donation - donations are collected online via GiveButter
To pledge by the lap - students will note and track your pledge via their paper pledge sheet and follow up after the event with the final total
We suggest a flat dollar amounts to eliminate the need for follow up
The Move-a-Thon is Friday, May 24 during school.
Come to the PTA Meeting Next Thursday!
Our last All Member Meeting of the year is next Thursday, May 16 in the Skillin Art Room and virtually on Google Meet. All parents, caregivers, teachers, and community members are welcome to join!
