The No-Frills Fundraiser Ends Soon!

We're almost there! Our no-frills fundraiser has brought in $3,200, and we just need $1,800 more to reach our $5,000 goal. The finish line is in sight, but the clock is ticking, and we need your support to get there by October 31st.

All donations go directly to providing FREE field trips for all grades and fun enrichment activities like the Chewonki Traveling Animals.

The Playground Committee Meets on Thursday

If you’d like to learn more about what’s been done for the playground, what’s still to come, and give input into the plans, come to the Playground Committee Meeting on Thursday, October 26 at 6:00 in the Skillin Library.

The Playground Committee is a great opportunity to influence the evolution of the playground. We want your ideas and comments on how to create the best play space for all students and the community.

Fall Clean Up is Friday

The Fall Clean Up is when the Skillin community comes together to take care of the school grounds.

All grades will spend time this Friday, October 27th raking, weeding, sweeping, planting bulbs, and painting garden rocks.

For the day, your child may want:

  • Clothes that can get dirty

  • Gardening gloves (if you have them)

There are 2 ways you can help:

  1. Lend us your gardening tools (rakes, brooms, spades, wheelbarrows). Tools can be left next to the sheds at the rear gym entrance, located across from the playground, the morning of 10/27. Make sure everything is labeled with your name

  2. Volunteer for as little or as long as you’d like, sign up to help with a specific activity and specific grade
