Volunteer Policy Reminder & Training Date

The end of the year has a lot of events where parents and family members want to chaperone or participate and the school wants to make sure everyone has done the training and their background check has come back in time for anything they want to participate in. 

Each year Volunteers must complete a Volunteer Application.

Volunteers must have completed a Volunteer Training once since 2014. If you can’t remember if you have, feel free to email Bryna Latham, lathambr@spsdme.org.

If you have never participated in a Volunteer Training, please join us at the upcoming training session listed below. Training sessions last approximately 30 minutes, depending on the number of questions we have. You have the option to register for a training session here, but this is not required.

Next Training: May 4th, 2023 at 9:30am at South Portland High School Learning Commons.

The front door of SPHS is on the Mountain View Road side of the building (there are visitor parking spots also along Mountain View Rd). As you enter the building, you will buzz into the main office to check in when you arrive. Trainings are typically held in the back Conference Room in the Learning Commons.
